Lamb Meatballs with Cyprus Sauce

Preparation time: 1 hour and 10 minutes

 

•750gr. minced meat (lamb meat is suggested)

•6 tablespoons Gaea D.O.P. Kalamata extra virgin olive oil

•2 thick pieces of bread

•1,5 teaspoon of vinegar

•1 garlic crushed clove

•2 teaspoons of sweet cumin

•Salt and Pepper

•½ jar Gaea “Cyprus Sauce”

 

Wet the bread and drain well.

 

Place the minced meat into a big bowl. Add the drained bread, garlic, salt, pepper, extra virgin olive oil and vinegar and blend well. Shape the mixture into small meatball portions, place them in a baking pan and broil.

 

Put Gaea “Cyprus Sauce” in a deep skillet, add a little water and heat for a while. Place the broiled meatballs in the skillet and leave them boil together with the sauce for 5-10 minutes.

Remove and serve. You can also serve them with rice, pasta or fried potatoes.
