Gai Yang Thai Chargrilled Chicken Marinade
Want to recreate the famous Gai Yang- Marinated Chargrilled Chicken, Thai style- at your barbecue this summer?
All the marinade ingredients you need are in the in jar of "Charmaine Solomon's Thai Barbecue Marinade". Packed with the flavours of coriander herb, black and green peppers, garlic and lime it simply needs to be rubbed over the chicken and let stand for an hour (or refrigerated overnight), before grilling or barbecuing.Use 3 tablespoons of marinade per 1.5kg of chicken.
Cook over coals, on the bbq or under a grill until golden and the juices run clear.
Serve on a platter garnished with lime or lemon wedges.
A simple salad of sliced cucumber, pineapple and peanuts dressed with lime juice, garlic, palm sugar and fish sauce makes a perfect accompaniment as well as steamed rice.
