This delicious versatile spread is made from Greek Kalamata olives, black and green olives, sundried tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, vinegar, grapemust, garlic, basil and oregano. Spread on bread or sandwiches, stuff cherry tomatoes or avocado halves, add to pasta or rice or great on top of pizza. Can be used as a dip with crackers or vegetables.
PARMESAN AND KALAMATA OLIVE SPREAD CRACKERS
These delightful crisps make a great base for antipasto dishes or use as crackers or serve on their own with a drizzle of fig or strawberry balsamic glaze.
- 250g quality parmesan cheese, grated finely
- 3 teaspoons Gaea Kalamata Olive Spread
Preheat the oven to 180C (160C fan forced). Line oven trays with baking paper.
Combine parmesan and olive spread in a medium bowl. Place tablespoonfuls of the cheese mixture on the prepared trays, allowing 5 per tray as they will spread during cooking.
Bake two trays at a time for about 10-12 minutes or until browned and crisp. Cool on trays for 5 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack. Repeat with the remaining mixture. Makes 25.
